Recent winds have hurt surface action, but big PMDs are still hatching.  Terrestrial patterns also work during wind free days. Streamer fishing is picking up, and some very large fish have moved in to upper sections of  Spring Creek.  Evenings are best for fishing here.

Fishing on Spring  Creek has really picked up.   Terrestrial insects, PMDs, tricos, and tiny BWOs make for great dry fly fishing. So pick your time of day, and hope for little or no wind.  On the lower creek streamers have been producing big time.

Wind free evenings are the best times. Terrestrial and PMD life cycle patterns are the best, but tricos can begin any time.

Tricos are hatching  in the AM and making  for good dry fly fishing until the wind kicks in.  PMDs are hatching, too, but the wind impacts their activity until evenings.  A few BWOs are also around, and when the wind isn’t in high gear can make for some good fishing especially when thundershowers threaten.

Terrific PMD emergences make fishing on Spring Creek a great evening experience if wind is not blowing.  Caddis and BWOs are also present, and ant & beetle patterns should work well.   Below Cable Bridge some HUGE ‘bows are being caught through using streamers.

The PMDs are emerging on the upper end of the creek. Problem is the wind!  So evenings, when it (hopefully) dies makes for the best time to fish.

Muddy roads have kept folks away from waters, so we do not have much info to pass on except that PMDs are emerging.

Best fishing is with streamers on the lower end were boats are needed.  Roads to lower end are likely muddy. The BWOs are showing up on the upper end.
