Mike needs no introduction in the world of Fly-Fishing. He began at a young age fishing with family members at locations around the region, and continued exploring waters for years. It was love at first sight when he discovered the Henry’s Fork. With a fly tying ability second to none, keen fishing know-how, and conservation awareness he came to treasure this famed river. In 1976 he and Sheralee opened Henry’s Fork Anglers at Last Chance across Highway 20 from the river. From here Mike’s reputation as a retailer, guide, fly tier, equipment authority, and advocate for the river grew to a status second to none. Through such status he became an author, and with Gary LaFontaine offered a book on fishing the Henry’s Fork. Later his book “Spring Creeks” became a sought after product on spring creek fishing techniques. A few years ago Mike released “Guide to Fishing the Henry’s Fork” also through Stackpole Books. During his demo he will tie his famed patterns as well as some new ones. Thus if you are one of the many that considers the Henry’s Fork a favorite stream, this is the demo for you to pick up tips on how to fish flies that Mike ties especially for “The Fork.” If you own any of Mike’s books ,bring them for his signature.
