Lately a lot of films have been coming out in the fishing industry. This has been a new trend that has been gaining popularity during the last few years. The difference between the types of films being produced lately is that they are not instructive. Many of us are familiar with the how to tie flies, and the how to fly fish videos. Some of you may have learned how to tie flies and fly fish from these videos. The new films that I am referring to are actually short films. Maybe you have heard of the Trout Bum movies? A bunch of guys with a lot more time on their hands than myself and a lot more money, travel all over the world fishing for trout and capture it on film. In the end it make a really fun video to watch.
We have received many new DVD’s in the last few weeks. Both instructional and Informational. We are actually having a hard time keeping them stocked on the shelf. Some of the more popular ones have been “Drift” a film put together by Tom Bie, editor of The Drake, and “Raising the Ghost.” This is a Flyboys Film, they travel to British Columbia and fish for steelhead by dead drifting Green Drakes. We have a lot of other titles as well. Come down to the shop and pick up a DVD today, I promise it will help you forget those winter time blues for awhile.
